Description SummaryA Cashier associate provides excellent customer service by greeting customers, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, and maintaining the store's appearance. Responsibilities include greeting customers, scanning merchandise, handling sales, refunds, and exchanges, and performing stocking and maintenance tasks. As often the first and last point of contact, the Cashier should create a friendly environment and thank customers as they leave.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct yourself according to CNRG’s Mission and Values
- Process customer transactions accurately and promptly
- Greet customers entering and leaving the store
- Verify merchandise details for transactions
- Handle returns, exchanges, and sales
- Answer phone calls courteously and promptly
- Receive payments and assist with credit applications
- Manage paperwork such as due tickets and rain checks
- Prepare deposits and organize cash drawer
- Use verification systems per company policy
- Handle store paperwork efficiently and accurately
- Assist customers in locating items and call for assistance if needed
- Protect company assets through cash controls
- Maintain a positive customer service attitude
- Follow all Cashier procedures
- Differentiate between similar products accurately
- Keep the store clean and organized
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Must demonstrate CNRG’s Mission and Values, possess good communication skills, be customer and team-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks. Physical requirements include climbing ladders, reaching, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
