Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Behavioral Health

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our 10‑bed Behavioral Health Unit, you will serve patients aged 55 and older with neurological and behavioral conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and acute mental status changes. You will contribute to medication management and support patients’ independence.

• Make and document nursing observations.
• Provide input into development and maintenance of the nursing care plan.
• Implement assigned aspects of the nursing care plan.
• Collaborate with RNs and Providers.
• Coordinate patient care, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Administer medications, treatment and therapies within scope of practice.
• Communicate with patients and family.
• Provide instruction and education relevant to the condition, as delegated by RN.
• Set up and maintain equipment, supplies, and work area.
• Assist in orientation of new employees.
• Participate in performance/process improvement activities.

Applicants should have current State of Tennessee or Multistate Licensed Practical Nurse license.

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) – required to be current upon hire.
• One year of experience in geriatric nursing, preferably Behavioral Health.
