How you'll contribute

A Clinic LPN who excels in this role:

Provides direct patient care under the supervision and delegation of a Registered Nurse in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice

Assists with patient assessments by collecting clinical data for RN review

Performs plan-of-care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care

Administers medications as permitted by scope of practice

Documents patient care accurately and timely

Assists the RN with development and implementation of patient care plans

Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and ambulation

Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions to the RN, provider, patient, and family

Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients

Schedules appointments and procedures as ordered by providers

Obtains insurance authorizations for testing and scheduled procedures

What we're looking for

Minimum Education

Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program

Licensure

Current LPN license in good standing with the applicable State Board of Nursing

Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire or transfer

Required Experience and Skills

Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT coding

Understanding of insurance benefits and healthcare processes

Strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and ability to work independently with appropriate supervision

Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
