This role requires competency in using specialized neonatal and obstetric equipment, adherence to clinical standards, and the ability to perform independently in a high‑pressure environment. The nurse supports both patients and families while maintaining compliance with healthcare policies and contributing to a therapeutic, safe environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

To provide quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care in an environment that strives to meet patient needs on a holistic level. This is done by incorporating emotional support and education with superior medical and nursing care with the aim of achieving patient well‑being.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Formal Education / Training:

  • Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • BLS within 90 days of hire.
  • At least one year perinatal experience preferred.
  • NRP within six months of hire.
  • ACLS certification or agree to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Able to function in stressful situations.
  • Able to return to work within 1 hour when on call.
