Position SummaryTo provide quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care in an environment that strives to meet patient needs on a holistic level. This is done by incorporating emotional support and education with superior medical and nursing care with the aim of achieving patient well‑being.
Position Requirements- Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
- At least one year perinatal experience preferred.
- Certified Lactation Consultant, preferred.
- NRP within six months of hire.
- ACLS certification or agree to obtain within six months of hire.
- Level I, Level II and fetal monitoring within 1 year of hire.
- Care of the Obstetric Patient - Level I
- Care of the High Risk Obstetric Patient - Level II
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring or AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
Able to function in stressful situations.
Able to return to work within 1 hour when on call.

Equipment and Skills Training:
Standard patient care equipment for services provided. The ability to work well under pressure, to function dependently and independently and to be flexible in applying basic nursing knowledge to a variety of setting. Equipment:

Physical Environment:
Perinatal/OB‑GYN unit with patient population ranging from less than one year of age to ninety‑nine years of age.
Physical Effort:
Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly. Able to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day. Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs.
