Job description
SMP Industries, Inc. a well known Chattanooga Manufacturing and Distribution Center is currently looking for a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to add to our growing team. The position primarily focuses on ensuring that plant equipment and facilities are maintained. This may include troubleshooting, installing, and repairing electrical, mechanical, electric motors, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facilities as part of the daily job.
Preferred Skills- Verifiable strong work history
- Strong mechanical skills
- Electrical knowledge and experience with 24, 120, and 480-volt equipment
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities
- Reading and understanding schematics and engineering drawings
- PLC & HMI experience a plus
- Laser cutter experience a plus
- Construction experience a plus
- Minimum (5) years of electrical or mechanical repair experience in a manufacturing environment
- Certificate of electrical or mechanical training from an accredited institution
- Maintain and repair plant equipment
- PM machinery
- Facility maintenance
- Troubleshooting equipment
- General maintenance duties
