Position: Machine Operator

• Responsible for transferring products, supplying components and totes to and from presses throughout the production floor to allow continuous production.
• Safety
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines and expectations (wear required PPE, follow safety protocols, and report any safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses in a timely manner).
  • Familiar with and can locate Safety Data Sheet.
  • Understands OSHA’s “Right to Know” Policy.
• 5S
  • Follow 5S procedure and guidance.
  • Keep work area clean at all times.
• Product Quality
  • Good understanding of the NIFCO Quality Policy.
  • Identification and handling of non-conforming products.
  • Read and apply the Part Quality Standard – PQS.
  • Follow the Nifco Packaging Information Form – NPIF.
  • Perform visual inspection checks for part nonconformity (color, flash, spots, shorts, damage, etc.).
  • Inform Molding Supervisor and/or Process Technicians when nonconformity is found.
• Machine Tending
  • Change totes on tote elevator, conveyor, and bucket stacker as needed.
  • Correctly label all totes with parts by following standard labeling process.
  • Respond to alarms by notifying Supervisor and/or Process Technician.
  • Move WIP/FG parts to correct locations.
  • Assemble parts as required (refer to work instructions).
  • Rework parts as required (refer to work instructions).
• Other Duties
  • Ensure the IATF
    16949 (latest revision) standard related to Manufacturing are followed.
  • Other assigned tasks by Molding Supervisor or Production Manager as needed.

• Education: High school Diploma or GED.
• Skills/Experience/Requirements:
  • Must complete all safety and environmental trainings required (e.g.: Lock-out-Tag-out, HAZCOM, Blood Borne Pathogens, Sexual Harassment).
  • Must be able to read and understand verbal instructions in English.
  • Must be able to do simple math calculations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55lbs. multiple times during shift.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Industrial experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to communicate with supervision, management, and co-workers.
