3Z Brands has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Safety Coordinator. This is an on‑site role at our manufacturing facility; local candidates only.
Position Summary3Z Brands is seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Coordinator to implement and maintain comprehensive safety within our fast‑paced mattress manufacturing facility. This position is vital for protecting our employees, equipment, and resources by ensuring strict adherence to federal, state, and company safety standards. The Coordinator will be responsible for conducting regular safety inspections, leading employee training, and investigating all incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
You will serve as the on‑site champion for a safety‑first culture, ensuring all manufacturing processes meet compliance and operational excellence goals.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments across the manufacturing floor, documenting findings and ensuring timely correction of identified hazards and deficiencies.
- Develop and deliver mandatory safety training for all new hires and existing employees, covering topics such as machine guarding, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), and proper material handling techniques.
- Lead all incident and near‑miss investigations, identifying root causes, preparing detailed reports, and tracking the completion of all corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
- Ensure full compliance with all governmental and internal safety regulations, including maintaining required documentation for OSHA record‑keeping and reporting.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team to ensure safety protocols are followed during machine production and repair, specifically focusing on critical equipment maintenance safety.
- Manage safety documentation and administration, including maintaining accurate training records, safety data sheets (SDS), and managing the inventory of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- OSHA 30‑Hour Certification (General Industry) is required.
- 3+ years of dedicated safety experience, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- Proven knowledge and experience enforcing GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), particularly related to cleanliness, process control, and regulated production environments.
- Familiarity with machine production maintenance and safety requirements.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting, documentation, and trend analysis.
