Sanitation Worker, 3rd Shift

Overview

The Pictsweet Company is growing! We are currently looking for sanitation workers to join our team! Successful candidates will be able to walk, carry and climb ladders with cleaning equipment. Candidates must be willing to work in hot and cold temperatures and attention to small details is necessary.

Shift begins at appoximatly 1:30 AM and ends at approximatly 11AM, with potential for overtime.

Duties include but are not limited to, the following:

• Will be responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of plant equipment and the facility structure (e.g. floors, overhead pipes).
• This position will be required to accurately complete daily cleaning responsibilities and report findings to the supervisor.
• Comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines.
• Comply with SDS requirements (proper use of cleaning agents).
• Comply with Pictsweet’s personal protective equipment policies.
• Ensure cleaning schedule is followed properly.
• Complies with lock-out/tag-out policy and ensures equipment meets lock-out/tag-out standards before sanitation work begins.
• All other duties assigned by supervision.
• Cleans and sanitizes food-processing equipment.
• Responsible for cleaning tools and accessories.
• Cleans floors, walls, ceiling, equipment and machines in accordance with standards.

Cognitive & Psychological:

• Must be able to read and understand SDS, cleaning instructions and GMP standards.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in writing.

Physical:

• Operate sanitation equipment, such as power equipment and foam sprayer.
• Must be able to lift up 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, and walk for an extended period.

Other:

• Must be willing to work extended hours as needed (including weekends and holidays).
