Fabricator, Manufacturing ​/ Production

About the Role:

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking to hire a Fabricator to join our team. This position will work with the maintenance department to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and modify equipment as assigned to support a continuous improvement culture.

• Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools
• Design and construct templates and fixtures, using the required tools
• Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes
• Proficient in Math and can accurately read measuring devices
• Familiar with schematic reading, electrical, pneumatics, and general building
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge in welding, GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW
• Knowledge in braze welding
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including ability to grasp, manipulate and assemble parts and components that are often very small, and/or heavy

Associates or technical degree in welding or related field and 1 year of experience
