Position Summary

To provide manufacturing with a schedule to meet all customer requirements which will foster the most efficient utilization of equipment, manpower and inventories. Provide training support to the material analyst(s) positions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interface with operations with respect to schedule controls, inventory management, capacity utilization and customer needs.
  • Plan optimal quantities of raw materials and purchased components while working within our inventory goals utilizing PFEP in conjunction with MIFC as a fundamental base.
  • Monitor flow of goods in and out and adjust build schedule plans accordingly. Communicate any changes to the plan to operations as needed.
  • Collaborate with operations and material handling supervision to develop kanban systems for operational cells and purchased components.
  • Maintain master data setup in ERP system.
  • Scheduling agreement maintenance in conjunction with OE Admin sales activities.
  • Work closely with Launch team to support ECN and new product launch activities.
  • Streamline schedules in order for operations to maximize output efficiency.
  • Work in partnership with operations and engineering teams to review service levels, performance against schedule, and inventory strategy by analyzing and identifying risks associated with the options built into the Master Production Plan.
  • Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Plan. When delays occur, identify gaps and drive solutions, including a production performance metric to the suggested production schedule.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or APICS certification.
  • Strong analytical ability required.
  • Understanding of MRP systems.
  • Knowledge of SAP required.
  • Knowledge of kanban systems desirable.
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint highly desirable.
Work Environment
  • This job is performed in all areas of the building facility including offices and production plant floor on all equipment and machines.
  • Varying temperatures (cold to hot).
  • Infrequent exposure to outside weather environment.
  • Fast-paced work environment.
  • Small, confined space around some machines / equipment.
  • Wet, slippery floors in some areas.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 25–30 lbs.
  • Extensive standing, walking, climbing, stooping, bending over, reaching, twisting, arm, wrist and hand motion.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Good visual ability.
