- Assist the Restaurant General Manager in overseeing all associates and ensuring efficient operations.

- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and conducting performance evaluations for team members.
- Support development and succession planning for associates.
- Implement disciplinary actions and manage terminations as needed.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, follow cash handling procedures, manage restaurant assets, and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
- Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safe practices among associates.
- Be willing to take on additional tasks as directed.
This role is designed as a stepping stone for associates wishing to pursue a future as a Restaurant General Manager. It provides the opportunity to build the essential skills needed for promotion. Please note that declining a promotion to General Manager three times may lead to reassessment of your position.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands- Commit to a flexible schedule, working 50+ hours per week based on business needs.
- Lift, move, or carry up to 75 pounds.
- Engage in activities requiring bending, twisting, kneeling, and maintaining balance.
- Perform repetitive motions and maintain mobility with frequent standing and walking.
Occasional travel may be required for off-site meetings.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least six months of experience as a Shift Manager or one year in a leadership role within the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry managing direct reports.
