Role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting outdoor lighting, A/V systems, and related entertainment technology within Dollywood Parks & Resorts. You will be a proactive, detail-driven technician who supports guest-facing and backstage operations and upholds Dollywood’s standards of quality, safety, and hospitality.
Responsibilities- Perform primary technician duties with sound, lighting, and show-set installations for outdoor environments and festival events
- Maintain entertainment system infrastructures, including outdoor lighting, festival icons, atmospheric sound systems, and show sets
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair lighting control systems, fixtures (including moving-heads), sound systems, projection systems, and DMX infrastructure
- Address common electrical issues and submit repair requests as needed
- Conduct routine maintenance to meet high safety standards
- Operate heavy machinery for installation and transport of equipment
- Provide technical support across Dollywood Parks and Resorts venues as needed
- Share knowledge and best practices with other technical team members
- Wear Dollywood-provided costume or uniform
- Assist in other areas of the Entertainment Division as directed
- Maintain an orderly, safe, and well-maintained workspace
- Drive company vehicles to transport personnel and supplies

Education and Experience Required- Minimum 18 years of age
- Experience with entertainment and/or architectural lighting fixtures
- Knowledge of lighting control infrastructure and control systems
- Knowledge of installation, operation and repair of modern moving-light fixtures preferred
- Experience in programming lighting control software and show control systems (Paradigm, Mosaic, Hog) preferred
- Stage set construction or general construction experience preferred
- Electrical knowledge preferred
- Experience with Vector Works, QLab, QSys, Dante preferred
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel
- Pre-employment background check and drug screening required
- Valid driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and acceptable driving record
- Able to present a friendly, professional image to guests, vendors, and colleagues

- Meet physical demands of the job; be on feet for extended periods; perform tasks in tight spaces
- Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs regularly; up to 120 lbs with assistance
- Work at heights up to 90 ft
- Handle exposure to chemicals found in cleaning solvents and related substances
- Assist with entertainment special projects (set/prop builds, decor, events, and water-based applications)
- Lifting and Carrying: occasional to frequent lifting up to 50 lbs
- Mobility: long shifts with standing/walking; travel between property areas concerns terrain, stairs, and uneven surfaces
- Repetitive Movements: repetitive tasks and tool use
- Environmental Conditions: work in varying weather; indoors and outdoors as needed
- Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: critical thinking, problem solving, attention to detail, and effective communication
