Responsibilities

Position Summary
As the Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Technician, you will support PSA Airlines' operations by performing aviation repairs and services that keep aircraft on schedule. You will execute maintenance procedures in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company standards to ensure safe and reliable flights.

  • Perform tasks to comply with Federal Aviation Regulations and take responsibility for work performed by yourself or with others, signing off on approved forms.
  • Maintain clean work areas and return tools to designated places. Report inoperative or faulty equipment to the Maintenance Supervisor or Lead Mechanic.
  • Perform repair and maintenance of aircraft using personal tools, Company-supplied tools, test equipment, and manuals.
  • May be authorized to perform required inspection items and assist in Company training programs.
  • Document work at the start of each repair or inspection, including full part descriptions and determining if work is a Required Inspection Item.
  • Verify that installed parts are approved for the aircraft/component and are visually inspected and free of damage or contamination.
  • Keep hangar workshops and assigned areas orderly.
  • Adhere to the Company’s Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and related safety outputs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor through the Lead Mechanic.
Position Specifics

Required Qualifications

  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state-issued Driver's License
  • Ability to use respirators and other PPE including eye and hearing protection
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Passport or equivalent within 90 days of starting
  • English language proficiency (read, write, speak)
  • Ability to work legally in the US

Preferred

  • Previous experience with CRJs
Additional Information

Work Environment
:
Climate-controlled building. Routine use of standard office equipment.

Physical Demands
:
Regular talking/listening. Largely sedentary but may require standing, walking, stairs, lifting up to 25 lbs, and manual handling.

Security Clearance
:
Fingerprint-based criminal history records check required per 49 CFR .
