Sourcing Leader

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the electrical and electronics category for MCBH. Management of the category to include supply base optimization, supplier selection, leading VAVE and cost savings initiatives, leading make verses buy projects and developing multi sourcing strategies where required. Must be familiar with category concepts, practices, and procedures; a wide degree of creativity, initiative and latitude is given in this position.

• Work Closely with Design, Engineering, Production, Quality, Portfolio & Logistics to Ensure Sourcing Decisions Support Company Objectives
• Perform other duties as assigned

• A bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of 5 years in the supply management field required.

• A minimum of 5 years in the supply management field required.
• Practitioner of Lean Manufacturing and CPIC Certification preferred.
• Ability to read and understand Income Statements and Balance Sheets. Ability to identify key purchasing related issues and then apply problem solving skills to creatively resolve complex procurement related issues. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and material specifications. Ability to function successfully with considerable latitude and require technical guidance only on unusually complex problems or issues. Must possess excellent negotiation skills.
• Candidate must possess excellent analytical thinking and willingness to take on responsibility and challenges. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required with the ability to influence others outside their span of control. Must have solid Excel program skills and Epicor experience preferred.
• When required, Sourcing Leader must be able to work long hours to meet critical deadlines and obligations. Ability to work in a participative management environment and maintain a drive for accomplishment of responsibilities is required.
