Title: IT Support Specialist

Location: Cookeville, Tennessee

Details: Contract to hire, eligible for direct hire after 90 days, fully onsite position

Pay Rate: $30.00/hr.

Work Schedule
  • Monday to Friday shifts, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm three days a week
  • Two days a week, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Onsite IT Support Associate to manage the technical support needs of our site. This role involves overseeing new hire onboarding, maintaining onsite printers, and addressing all technical issues on the premises. As the primary point of contact for IT at this location, you will be approachable and customer-focused, acting as the face of the IT department.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, manage, elevate, and resolve technical issues.
  • Install and configure software, print drivers, utilities, etc., on workstations and computer networks.
  • Troubleshoot all IT issues, including software, hardware, and networking.
  • Monitor installed systems, identify problems, and take corrective action.
  • Provide basic technical support to US Foods Clients.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and diagnose desktop/laptop software problems.
  • Issue laptops, replace hardware, and perform software updates.
  • Manage tickets and cases via chat and provide in-person assistance as needed.
Years of Experience and Education
  • 1 - 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 - 3 years of customer service experience.
  • IT certifications or degrees preferred but not required.
Skills Required
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and commit to a flexible work schedule.
  • Proficiency with hardware management, including building systems, providing training, and assembling laptops.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and basic troubleshooting experience with printers, desktops, and notebook issues.
  • Strong user and support experience with MS Office.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with VPN preferred.
  • Friendly and approachable.
  • Ability to represent IT and the company in the best way possible.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations/environments.
