Bench Mark Physical Therapy, a brand partner of Upstream Rehabilitation, is looking for a PRN Physical Therapy Technician to join our team in Sweetwater, TN
JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT/PTA or OT/OTA, the technician will provide limited assistance to therapists with patient activities consistent with the scope of the Missouri Physical Therapy Practice Act. This position is responsible for supporting the mission, vision and values of SERC Physical & Hand Therapy.
Job Responsibilities- Assist licensed therapists under direct supervision with patient activities consistent with the scope of the Missouri Physical Therapy Practice Act.
- Perform laundry tasks: wash, dry, fold, and clean tables between patients; stock carts with towels, pillowcases, and other supplies; clean and maintain exercise equipment daily and as needed.
- Maintain clinic cleanliness and organization: empty trash, vacuum, straighten the waiting room, and complete other housekeeping duties.
- Handle phone operations, including answering calls, scheduling patients, documenting cancellations, no-shows, and reschedules, processing co-pay and patient supply orders, and locating supplies and chart drawers.
- Set up new charts, use copiers/fax machines, and administer initial evaluation paperwork as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of physical therapy equipment and care.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Capacity to assist and prepare patients for treatment with various therapy exercises and equipment.
