X-Ray Technologist role at Fast Pace Health, Urgent Care setting. Under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, X-Ray Techs provide clinical and administrative support essential for patient care. They deliver outstanding patient service, maintain a compassionate atmosphere, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment in addition to imaging. The X-Ray Tech will provide effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using, in-depth knowledge as well as communicating effectively with team members.

Responsibilities- Fulfill all responsibilities of Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist as detailed in the specific job description for those roles.
- Provide clinical and administrative support for the team and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and track x-ray orders to ensure timely completion and submission.
- Assist patients with proper positioning during exams to ensure diagnostic quality.
- Conduct activities in compliance with department expectations and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
- Review exam images for initial read by a provider and send final images to the radiology group for over-read.
- Label laterality of all images correctly and ensure no removable artifacts; document explanations for any artifacts in the history.
- Address minor maintenance issues with imaging machines and coordinate with nurse coordinator or Clinic Director for outsourcing when needed.
- Monitor cassettes and equipment in the x-ray room for wear or malfunction; report issues promptly; clean cassettes, chest bucky, and exam table after use to prevent cross-contamination.
- Manage pregnancy waiver forms where applicable.
- Triage patients by recording vitals and collecting pertinent clinical history; assist with basic nursing tasks if applicable by state regulations.
- Monitor and read X-Ray badges monthly; wear radiation monitors in the X-Ray room and report as required.
- Complete mandatory compliance training and participate in onboarding for new employees.
- Support and coach new employees through training, job shadowing, and demonstrations.
- Maintain professional, cordial relationships with staff and patients; contribute to a positive work environment.
- Demonstrate ability to perform the physical, sensory, cognitive, and environmental functions of the position as specified in the physical demands.
- Adhere to company standards of operations and core values (teamwork, communication, empowerment, quality of care, friendliness).
- ARRT License (Registered Technologist)
- State License (Registered Technologists and Limited Scope)
- License must be active, in good standing, and verifiable with the proper regulatory agency
- TB and IV Certification required to be obtained within 60 days of employment and maintained during employment if applicable in your state
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CPR certification
- Full Scope X-Ray Technologist State License Compliance or Limited Scope X-Ray Technologist License as applicable
- Level 1–5 paths with varying years of direct patient care experience and CPR requirements, including responsibilities such as increased x-ray volume, ortho-glass techniques, splinting/casting, and ultrasound procedures, depending on level and state licensure (LSRT or RTR variants).
