The Director of Research and Evaluation works directly with the Senior Scientist, Regional VPs, and program staff to implement new programs, design Evaluation Plans, oversee data collection, and conduct quantitative and qualitative evaluations of specified programs. This position also produces evaluation reports adhering to federal confidentiality, privacy and other standard practice requirements. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Facilitate development of Implementation Work Plan and biweekly meetings for new programs.
- Design and implement process, outcome, and impact evaluations for program components.
- Track fidelity of program plan, assessment tools or surveys.
- Design and implement statistical databases.
- Supervise Research Assistants.
- Train staff in use of evaluation procedures or evidence-based practice tools and curriculums or coordinates such needed training.
- Conduct focus groups with staff, participants and Network members; analyze satisfaction surveys.
- Assist the regions and programs with Performance Improvement projects.
- Design and develops questionnaires and surveys.
- Write reports on indicators and outcomes for Board of Directors and West Care senior management team review.
- Serve as liaison to independent evaluation experts and assists with individual studies of the program and evaluation reports.
- Assist Program Director with presentations, papers and data dissemination.
- Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of West Care Foundation; and
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

- Valid drivers license and ability to obtain and maintain West Cares vehicle insurance is required; and
- CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test.
- During your tenure with West Care there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that West Care may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.
- Minimum of a masters degree in the social sciences and at least three (3) years experience in evaluation and/or research in a human service setting. Doctoral degree preferred.
