Nurse Aide in Training/ Non-Certified CNA Position Summary

The NAIT is responsible for providing routine daily nursing care to assigned patients under direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Their role also includes the following responsibilities:

• Assure patient safety and provide care in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and answer call lights.
• Accurately document and chart on patient care.
• Perform any other additional tasks as assigned by the Administrator, Business Office Director, Prema Financial Solutions, or the corporate team.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Currently enrolled in a State-approved CNA program and able to work for a single consecutive period of 4 months. At the end of the 4-month period, the NAIT must meet the certification requirements to become a CNA.
• CPR Certification (may obtain during orientation)
