Senior Accountant - Up to $73,000 - Work/Life Balance - Donelson - Permanent Direct Hire

My client, a growing and dynamic banking industry company in business for 75 years, is seeking a Senior Accountant. This company boasts low turnover and pleasant work environment with work/life balance. Great benefits and 21 days of PTO to start. Located in the Donelson area of Nashville with hours of 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM M-F. The salary goes up to $73,000.

Permanent direct hire.

Overview of the Senior Accountant:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, corporate credit card reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and daily financial transactions.
• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries and maintain all related schedules and subledgers, including depreciation, accruals, prepaid expenses, and amortizations.
• Manage investment activity, including accrued income and investment purchases and maturities.
• Support the Controller with month-end close process and the preparation of financial reports for Board meetings.
• Provide comprehensive financial services, such as tax reporting, internal cash audit support, and fixed asset management.
• Assist the Controller in preparing financial documentation for external audits.
• Oversee and support the Accounting Clerk, promoting cross-training and operational resilience for periods of absence.

Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:

• Four years of accounting experience
• Ability to work 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM onsite
