QMN currently occupies nine facilities in the Antioch/LaVergne area with over 3000 employees and growing.

The Senior Accounting Analyst is a high-level financial professional responsible for overseeing and managing plant-level accounting functions, with a specific focus on data integrity, process automation, and system synchronization. This role works closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller to ensure the accuracy of financial statements, drive the migration of legacy data into corporate systems, and safeguard company assets through robust internal controls.

The ideal candidate possesses a trust-but-verify mindset and the technical capacity to transform complex datasets into actionable financial insights.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting & Corporate Alignment — Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports (Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Cash Flow) in strict compliance with GAAP/IFRS and corporate formats.
  • Close Process — Coordinate the month-end, quarter-end, and annual close processes; reconcile local plant transactions against the Corporate General Ledger.
  • Journal Entries & Reconciliations — Review and approve entries with a focus on identifying operational slippage.
  • Financial Analysis & Data Forensics — Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and anomalies; prepare explanations for discrepancies between actual and budgeted results with root-cause precision.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting — Support budgeting and forecasting with data-driven insights from large-scale system exports.
  • Internal Controls & Professional Skepticism — Design, implement, and maintain robust internal controls for data integrity at the Nashville plant; monitor compliance with policies and regulatory frameworks; flag deviations from financial protocols.
  • Audit Support & Transparency — Lead documentation for internal and external audits; liaise with auditors and implement recommendations to enhance local compliance.
  • Tax Compliance & Reporting — Assist with sales tax and property tax returns; ensure compliance with multi-state regulations and proper tax withholding.
  • Process Improvement & System Maintenance — Identify opportunities to automate tasks via advanced system features or Excel/BI tools; oversee accounting system data capture and collaborate with IT and Corporate Finance to enhance functionality and data mapping.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration — Serve as primary financial liaison between plant operations and accounting, resolving issues related to data analysis and reporting needs.
Qualifications
  • Technical Mastery:
    Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (implementation experience preferred) and Microsoft Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas).
  • Data Handling:
    Knowledge of SQL or database management tools for handling large datasets is highly beneficial.
  • Compliance Focus:
    Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and a deep understanding of internal controls and audit processes.
  • Communication:
    Ability to clearly communicate financial risks to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail:
    High accuracy and ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising data integrity.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing or corporate environment.
  • Proven experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with financial system implementation or data migration projects is a high priority.
  • CPA or CMA candidate is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet month-end deadlines.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to read and understand complex financial documentation.
