Financial Analyst - Assets & Tax

Job Purpose

This role supports the financial planning team by overseeing fixed asset accounting, corporate tax compliance, and capital spending analysis. The analyst will ensure accurate reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to financial decision-making aligned with company goals.

• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation schedules
• Assist in preparing and analyzing capital budgets
• Monitor and report on capital spending projects, evaluating financial impact and ROI
• Support month-end close by preparing journal entries and analyzing account variances as it relates to M&R spend
• Collaborate monthly cross-functionally to ensure all M&R-related transactions are properly captured, reconciled, and aligned with budget expectations
• Create monthly financial KPI to identify M&R trends to help support strategic decisions
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of corporate income tax returns and related filings
• File federal, state, and other required government reports in compliance with regulations
• Conduct financial analysis to identify opportunities for improvement in asset utilization and capital efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate asset tracking and reporting
• Assist with LN system maintenance testing and financial system enhancements
• Respond to inquiries from senior finance leaders regarding financial results and reporting
• Support year-end audit preparation and documentation
• Contribute to process improvements and implementation of new procedures within the department

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
• CPA or MBA preferred but not required
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in fixed asset accounting, tax compliance, or capital planning
