Location: Pigeon Forge
Overview
As a successful Business Operations Intern, you will be responsible for assisting with the business operations side of summer weeklong tournament operations at the Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, TN. This is a paid internship; we will work with your college/university to receive college credit toward your graduation. This internship will operate from May 11, 2026 to August 16, 2026.
Responsibilities- Assist with the organization of our VIP Suites and Chair/Wagon Rental program.
- Work directly under the Team Coordinators, assisting them with rosters, welcome packets, and paperwork before each tournament.
- Coordinate team gift distribution and assist Full-Time Staff with inventory count each week.
- Serve as a customer service representative to the coaches/spectators during the event. Answer questions as they pertain to their tournament.
- Work directly with front office personnel to successfully execute all week-long tournaments.
- Assist our Food and Beverage Manager, Facilities Manager, and Retail Coordinator as needed.
- Work in a fast-paced environment on Sundays during the check in process, opening ceremonies, and skills competitions.
- Always convey with a high level of professionalism while providing extraordinary external and internal customer service.
- Emulating a positive environment with peers and full-time staff.
- Absorb training and demonstrate the initiative, desire, and drive to help uphold the values established by the Ripken name and brand.
- Work with staff to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently while providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience for participants.
- College student seeking credit or recent college graduate seeking work experience
- Prior experience in a customer service environment
- Outgoing and friendly personality, strong initiative, and high-energy
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong detail-orientation, with ability to problem-solve
- Ability to multi-task, efficient time-management skills
- Commitment to work long hours, including weekends, depending on business needs
- Positive and effective leadership and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a team environment with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude
