We are seeking a Guest Transit Host who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memorable experiences while bringing families closer together and caring deeply about our brand.
This role acts as an extension of our mission, values, and culture. The right candidate will be a curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail‑driven mentor and motivator who brings fun, authenticity, collaboration, creativity, and genuine hospitality to daily work. As a Tram Conductor, you will manage all aspects of assigned areas, including safety, friendliness, cleanliness, and efficient line movement.
Potential responsibilities include:
- Greets guests and initiates friendly interaction, delivering guest excellence that exceeds expectations.
- Ensures implementation of Dollywood’s 100% Satisfaction Guarantee policy.
- Reacts calmly and quickly to stressful or emergency situations, physically assisting guests as needed.
- Performs as a Tram Conductor, which includes but is not limited to:
- Visually observing trailing cars on multi‑unit conveyances for potential safety hazards.
- Observing guest actions during operation to prevent safety hazards.
- Communicating calmly, clearly, and professionally with Tram Conductor/Lot Attendants.
- Communicating safety rules and scripted festival or park information in a manner consistent with Dollywood’s values and mission.
- Completes daily written reports and turns in necessary paperwork to Parking PIC.
- Works in all weather conditions.
- Maintains a sense of urgency toward the area of operation to reduce guest wait times.
- Uses time productively, including sweeping, clearing cobwebs, straightening cones, and other similar tasks.
- Assists with other parking areas as needed or requested by Management.
- Wears and maintains a themed costume issued by Dollywood.
- Performs special projects as directed by Management.
- Attends all required training classes and meetings.
- Complies with safety and security directives, policies, and procedures to ensure host/guest safety at all times.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Reports any violation of safety standards.
Education and Experience Required
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- May need to provide a copy of a personal driving record from your home state.
- Must successfully complete a pre‑employment background check, including motor vehicle and drug screening.
