Network Systems Engineer

The Network Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, end-user equipment, and telecommunications systems. This role ensures reliable system performance, provides technical support, and helps maintain secure and efficient operations across the organization.

• Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot PCs, servers, printers, network hardware, telecommunications equipment, software, and databases
• Provide technical support to end users for hardware and software issues, both onsite and remotely
• Administer and maintain the VoIP phone system, including voicemail and user changes
• Configure and manage file servers, print servers, application servers, and domain controllers
• Manage backup systems and system imaging processes
• Support virtualization environments, including hyperconverged solutions, VMware, Hyper‑V, or AHV
• Administer Microsoft 365, including email, Teams, and One Drive
• Work with external vendors to resolve hardware and software issues
• Recommend hardware and server configurations as needed
• Travel to remote facilities when required
• Participate in after‑hours on‑call support and scheduled maintenance
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or Associate’s degree with two years of related experience, or four years of relevant experience

Technical

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems for both workstations and servers
• Experience with LAN installation and maintenance
• Experience with software installations and upgrades
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 administration
• Experience with virtualization platforms
