AboutThe Role
- Lead and coordinate the full Engineering Change Order process for all program‑related engineering changes, including design, process, and supplier modifications, ensuring disciplined configuration control.
- Partner closely with Product Management to drive new product releases through the Product Development Process and all applicable process flows, ensuring technical readiness at every gate.
- Own program financial performance, maintaining product costs within target thresholds and securing management approval for any deviations while championing cost‑reduction and manufacturability improvements.
- Direct procurement, quality, supply base, and manufacturing engineering to execute new product sourcing strategies, implement design changes, and deploy new manufacturing processes with technical accuracy.
- Serve as the single point of contact for all program‑related inquiries, collaborating with engineering, R&D, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and military sales teams to support both standard and nonstandard product development.
- Ensure technical data integrity by maintaining accurate BOMs, process routers, ERP configurations, inspection requirements, and supplier communication while supporting continuous improvement and product enhancement initiatives.
You’re a results‑driven Program Manager who thrives in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment. You take ownership of complex programs from start to finish, keep teams aligned, and drive execution with clarity and accountability. Organized, proactive, and solutions‑focused, you know how to manage competing priorities while delivering measurable results.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent required.
- Masters degree in engineering preferred.
- 5+ years engineering experience required.
- Strong technical foundation in engineering and manufacturing required.
- Proven experience managing engineering or technical manufacturing projects from concept through completion, demonstrating disciplined execution and cross‑functional leadership required.
- Deep understanding of firearm operation, failure analysis, statistical analysis, and debug methodologies, with the ability to apply these techniques in real‑world scenarios.
- Proficient in Solid Works or comparable 3D modeling software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, design for manufacturability, quality standards, GD&T, ISO standards, and core firearms/ballistics concepts.
