Applicants must possess a strong understanding of middle school mathematics concepts and curriculum standards, with the ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging instruction for diverse learners. The ideal candidate demonstrates skill in differentiating lessons, integrating technology and educational resources, and employing effective classroom management strategies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with students, families, and colleagues. A commitment to ongoing professional development, participation in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and the use of data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes are also required.

Utah Educator License with Endorsements
All applicants must have a Professional Educator License awarded by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) or apply for an Associate Educator License (AEL) to be eligible to apply to Jordan School District and participate in our Alternate Pathway to Professional Educator Licensing (APPEL) Program when hired. Proof of an AEL is required before you will be added to the candidate pool.

UTAH STATE RETIREMENTBenefit eligible employees are automatically members of the Utah Retirement Systems (URS). This means that the District contributes into the URS plan on your behalf each month. After the URS vesting period of four years, you will have either the Hybrid option, which is a combination of a pension with a 401k plan, or the 401k option if you choose. Both plans are employer-paid.
