About

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will deliver personalized science instruction to 3rd–12th grade students enrolled in an online curriculum through small-group and individualized support. This role requires the ability to tutor across all 3rd–12th grade science subjects, with a strong emphasis on Physics and Chemistry, and to ensure students achieve true understanding and mastery.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a small team of educators to tailor instruction to the unique academic and athletic needs of our student-athletes.

What You'll Do

• Deliver personalized science instruction across all 3rd–12th grade science subjects, with particular focus on Physics and Chemistry
• Provide small-group and one-on-one tutoring to ensure students fully understand and can apply scientific concepts
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing ongoing feedback and adapting instruction as needed
• Do everything possible to help students succeed in science—coach, reteach, reinforce concepts, and support mastery
• Collaborate closely with other teachers and staff to support an integrated academic-athletic environment
• Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and academic performance
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding progress, goals, and academic concerns
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in science instruction and educational technology

• Bachelor’s degree (required)
• Valid teaching certification/license in Science or the ability to obtain certification
• Proven experience teaching Science to 3rd–12th grade students, with demonstrated ability to tutor across all 3rd–12th science subjects, including Physics and Chemistry
• Candidates who have taught Advanced Placement (AP) courses and demonstrate a strong track record of a high percentage of students scoring 3 or higher on AP exams will be strongly considered
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom/group management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic academic environment
• Passion for working with student-athletes and understanding their unique academic and athletic demands
• Ability to work on-site, in person, with consistency and reliability
