Practical Nursing Instructor-Hybrid Program

General Duties

The practical nursing instructor, under the direction of the Director of Nursing, shall be responsible for the following areas including, but not limited to: planning, developing, initiating, and teaching the approved instructional program for practical nursing students in both the classroom and clinical setting; maintaining confidential, accurate and complete records on paper and electronically; providing individual evaluation of each student’s progress with counseling and appropriate recommendations when required;

supervising students’ clinical experiences as scheduled; and maintaining good public relations with clinical partners. The practical nursing instructor will also assist with student placement and student follow-up; participate in recruitment of students; cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to related business and industry; and establish and maintain good public relations within the college’s service area.

Some travel is required. Clinical hours vary.
