Role OverviewAs a Dental Hygienist at Moore Smiles, you play a critical role in preventive care, patient education, and treatment co-diagnosis. You’ll work closely with our doctors and clinical team to deliver exceptional experiences while helping patients understand the why behind their oral health.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough adult & pediatric prophylaxis appointments
- Take and interpret digital X-rays
- Complete periodontal charting and assessments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, gum health, and treatment recommendations
- Identify periodontal disease and assist with treatment planning
- Administer local anesthesia (if licensed)
- Apply fluoride and preventive therapies
- Maintain accurate clinical notes and documentation
- Support hygiene production and reappointment goals
- Build trust and rapport with patients of all backgrounds
- Maintain a clean, organized operatory and follow all infection control protocols
- No rushed, assembly-line hygiene
- Emphasis on patient education & relationship building
- Strong doctor collaboration and support

- Current Dental Hygienist license in the state of Tennessee
- CPR/BLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
