Duties
- Receives and directs telephone calls or visitors.
- Distributes and controls incoming and outgoing mail.
- Reads and forwards incoming correspondence.
- Manages electronic and hard copy records.
- Composes correspondence, letters, memoranda, and other documents.
- Performs clerical duties such as sorting bulk mail from post office, rerouting misdirected mail, date stamping, counting mail, screening for priority items, and preparing routing and control forms.
- Maintains and distributes supplies.
- Requisition s office supplies, printing support, and related material or services.
- Sorts incoming fleet management forms or requests.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males.
- Participation in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program required.
- Must operate a motor vehicle for official duties; valid driver's license and driving record required.
- Must wear a uniform and comply with NPS uniform standards; uniform allowance provided.
- Overtime may be required.
- May need to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with travel and/or purchase authority.

Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. Resumes must clearly indicate duties and responsibilities, employment dates, and hours worked.
Selective FactorProficient in typing at 40 words per minute. Resume must prove this ability.
Minimum Qualifications- Experience:
At least one year of generalized experience, including duties such as receiving and directing telephone calls and visitors, preparing files, and sorting bulk mail. - Education:
Successful completion of at least two years of education above high school level. Transcripts required. - Combination:
Education and experience may be combined to meet percentage requirement (30% education above 30 semester hours + 70% experience).
Volunteer work through National Service programs or other organizations counts toward qualifying experience.
