Clymer Farner Barley (CFB) is a dynamic and growing firm specializing in civil engineering and land surveying services. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our clients, vendors, and visitors while supporting the daily administrative needs of our Middleton/HQ office.

Job Description

As the Receptionist at CFB, you will play a vital role in creating a positive first impression and ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations. This position supports our administrative and project teams by managing front desk responsibilities, assisting with clerical tasks, and helping maintain an organized and professional office environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist clients, visitors, and contractors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls; take accurate messages as needed
  • Maintain the front desk, lobby, and conference rooms to ensure a clean and welcoming appearance
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, scanning, and photocopying
  • Assist with compiling and organizing project documentation, including survey reports, maps, and drawings
  • Monitor office supply inventory and coordinate orders as needed
  • Provide general administrative support to staff as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s degree a plus)
  • Previous receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with a customer-service mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
