Position Title: Seasonal Tax Accountant

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Seasonal Tax Accountant to support our team during the busy tax season. This role focuses on preparing accurate and timely tax returns, assisting with client communication, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. • Prepare individual and business tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120‑S, 1065)
• Review financial documents and verify accuracy of client‑provided information
• Assist with tax research and resolve basic tax questions
• Communicate with clients to gather missing information or clarify details
• Maintain organized work papers and documentation
• Support senior staff with special projects as needed
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and filing deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently pursuing)
• Experience preparing tax returns (professional or volunteer)
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations
• Proficiency with tax software (e.g., Drake)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines

• Experience in public accounting
• CPA, EA, or active candidate
• Familiarity with GAAP and business tax filings
