Job Summary
To support individuals in attaining the highest quality of life while maintaining their safety across all settings.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNone
Responsibilities- Implement Positive Behavior Supports (PBS).
- Report any significant issues using the on‑call hierarchy.
- Implement and follow individuals’ Behavior Skills Plans.
- Implement and follow EO509 Dining Guidelines.
- Participate in and complete Licensing and Certification paperwork, including daily planners, monthly menus, house meetings, budgeting, medical appointments, etc.
- Follow and implement individuals’ daily schedules.
- Enhance an individual’s development by providing job coaching.
- Maintain appropriate and professional boundaries with the individuals.
- Involve individuals in social and vocational opportunities.
- Promote a high quality of living for the individuals, including assistance with showers, toileting, brushing teeth, laundry, etc.
- Support and accompany individuals in the community, including religious services, hospitals, correctional facilities, courts, and support groups.
- Record accurate and quality data on each individual throughout the shift using ICentrixs.
- Provide supervision of the individuals and ensure their safety in the residence and community.
- Promote a high quality of living that includes routine maintenance/housekeeping such as shoveling, mopping, and cleaning appliances.
- Provide transportation, whether in the company vehicle or personal vehicle, for individuals following the GPS Guidelines.
- Perform verbal or physical interventions as needed to ensure safety.
- Conduct physical restraints as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and cyber security.
- Engage in extended standing, sitting, running, and lifting as required to ensure safety.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to accept constructive criticism as a learning tool.
- Able to handle intimate and personal issues with tact and discretion.
- Able to work in a team setting.
- Able to stay awake and alert while on shift at all times.
- Flexibility to work at different locations and shifts to accommodate business needs, including arriving on time, maintaining contracted ratios, working holiday shifts, and weekends.
- Able to calmly and patiently manage threatening and assaultive situations.
- Able to act appropriately in the event of an emergency.
- Basic computer skills (email, databases, internet, etc.) and ability to copy, scan, and fax.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- PABC (physical restraints).
- CPR/First Aid.
- MAP.
- DDS Licensing and Certification required training.
Education and Experience
- 1 year of residential experience.
- Heavy travel – once or more a week.
