Job SummaryThis individual will pick and pack sample orders sufficient to satisfy all direct and indirect customers under the direction of Foreman - Samples. Perform other tasks as required. This is a day shift position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Pick orders from the pick to light carousel to fill customer orders.
- Stock material into the carousel with accuracy.
- Perform cycle counts on daily basis.
- Pack orders with the ability to verify the correct samples for all customer orders.
- Pick large orders from the warehouse to satisfy workshop and direct customers.
- Process orders for shipping Fed Ex, US Mail, Wilsonart Trucks, and common carrier shipment.
- Pull larger items from racks to fulfill bulk orders.
- Load and unload trucks to meet the needs of the Marketing Services Center.
- Assist in other department task, sample production area, etc.
- Conduct a daily cleanup of the warehouse area.
- Sort and restock bins with sample materials.
- Knowledge of mathematics sufficient to calculate items per case.
- Ability to learn the use of computers sufficient to utilize word processors and spreadsheets.
- Ability to learn patterns and finishes.
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to be trained in a timely manner to safely operate all required power equipment within the facility to perform all necessary job responsibilities independently.
- Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area and other pertinent areas.
Education: High School Diploma or GED or will accept one year of relevant work history.
Experience: 1+ year of work experience.
Working ConditionsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, pushing, climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs).
ENVIRONMENT: Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises, and bright lights.
