Summary: This position involves all facets of production to include receiving, sorting, grading, and processing all donated merchandise received.
Responsibilities- Meet donors immediately and greet them with a basket or duct tape, unload vehicles, and log each donation on the daily production sheet.
- Thank donors verbally and offer a sticker that states “I changed a life.” Provide a coupon and a receipt to each donor.
- Carefully bring donations into the processing area; sort by textiles, computers, or hard goods; immediately price all furniture and take to the sales floor as room permits.
- Switch full gaylords of product at both wares and textile stations; lift heavy objects by hand, in a team lift, or with a two‑wheel dolly.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and secure the area at the end of the shift.
- Receive and process donations in a timely manner; sort, process, and price merchandise including donated and new goods as needed.
- Visually inspect and separate textile donations by category such as salvage, hanging, household, underclothing, and others as designated by management.
- Move saleable clothing to the hanging area; put clothing on coat hangers in proper manner; watch for theft.
- Separate items by category as designated by the Dell Reconnect SOP; palletize and wrap items; weigh and label completed gaylords and pallets; transport to the logistics portal.
- Load and unload donation and salvage trucks; move materials between areas using hand trucks, dollies, or other equipment.
- Bale materials by compressing them in the baling machine, threading bands, tightening, and removing bales for storage.

Emotional maturity, integrity, capacity for change, interpersonal skills, commitment to development. - Qualifications Requirements: Must pass a drug screen, criminal background check, and driver’s license check if approved to drive a forklift.
- Minimum
Skills:
Read English, add/subtract two‑digit numbers, follow instructions, handle standardized situations, create and maintain working relationships, customer service skills, complete assignments independently. - Education and Experience: All educational backgrounds are accepted or up to one month related experience and/or training.
- Certifications: Forklift certification via company‑specific training program.
- Work Environment: Regularly exposed to outdoor weather, fumes, dust, animal hair, moving parts, high places, vibration, noise; use a computer and communicate frequently.
- Physical Demands: Frequently required to communicate and regularly required to use a computer.
