Baylor Scott & White Health Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to join our Ortho Trauma Progressive Care Unit (5 South). The #1 city in the nation for Nursing opportunities and advancement. Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.
ScheduleFull Time - 36 hours per week
Unit Summary- Post ICU trauma patients (serious traumatic injury to 2 or more body systems)
- Complex Plastic reconstructive surgeries (including reconstructive flaps and graft sites, post cancer reconstruction, and trauma related reconstruction)
- Complex ENT patients including free muscle flaps and neck dissections.
- Complex ENT reconstructive tracheostomies and laryngectomies
- Traumatic Complex Fractures and musculoskeletal wounds
- Elective Joint Replacements – Rapid Recovery Program
- Sports Injuries
- Spinal Deformities
- Complicated Pelvic, Hip, and compression Fractures
- Skeletal Malformations and Abnormalities
- Amputations and Prosthesis
- Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery
- Medical/Surgical patients including those requiring Telemetry
- Immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits

Requirements OfThe Ideal Candidate
- Graduate of RN School of Nursing
- ADN required
- Active RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer
- Education – Graduate of an accredited program
- Major – Nursing
- Experience – 2 years of experience
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer
