Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX, is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join our amazing Medical Surgical Palliative/Hospice Unit (STC‑4). Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636‑bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.
ScheduleFull Time – 36 hours per week – nights

Unit SummarySTC‑4 is a 29‑bed telemetry inpatient unit located in our Special Treatment Center, with a specialty in Hospice/Palliative. Working on STC‑4 gives you the unique opportunity to work with both Hospice/Palliative and acute‑care patients. As an STC‑4 nurse you will develop strong nursing skills with high‑acuity patients and collaborate with internal medicine, hospice, and palliative teams to provide excellent and compassionate care through a multidisciplinary approach.
You will not only grow your clinical skills but also provide comfort to patients and families during end‑of‑life transitions. Our nurses take pride in caring for patients and families holistically.
- Sepsis patients
- Diabetes care
- Transfers from medical‑surgical units and ICU patients
- Admissions from ED
- High‑level pain control – PCA
- Patients with impaired respiratory status
- Patients needing nutritional support
- Infection control
- GI abnormalities
- Wound care
- Trach care

Requirementsof the Ideal Candidate
- Graduate of an RN school of nursing
- ADN required; BSN preferred
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 6 months of RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire or transfer
- Graduate of an accredited program
- Specialized field of study should be nursing
- RN license
- Must have BLS certification or obtain it within 30 days of starting in this role
