Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma/High School Equivalency and two (2) years directly related full-time work experience. Part-time experience will be accepted but will be prorated and must equal two (2) years of full-time work experience. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License to operate Temple College vehicles between buildings at off-campus sites.
Work Schedule: This is an on-site position. Essential duties of the role must be performed in-person, during prescribed work hours.

Under general supervision from the Executive Director, Physical Plant, and direct supervision from the Associate Director, Physical Plant, the incumbent performs a wide range of facilities services repair and maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, carpentry, painting, and grounds. The incumbent may also operate light industrial equipment, grounds equipment, and drive maintenance vehicles.
Qualifications (Required and Preferred)
High School Diploma/High School Equivalency and two (2) years directly related full-time work experience. Part-time experience will be accepted but will be prorated and must equal two (2) years of full-time work experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent will:
- Monitor, maintain, and perform standard repairs to building electrical facilities and systems such as light fixtures, tubes, fixtures, switches, and outlets; assists licensed electricians with non-technical repairs as appropriate.
- Monitor performance of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems for the facility; assists Master Trade Specialist III as appropriate; performs standard repair/replacement of components as appropriate and non-technical maintenance tasks such as cleaning of heating and cooling fan coil units, adjustment of system controls, and replacing air filter elements.
- Monitor and perform non-technical maintenance of plumbing systems, to include standard repair of leaking fixtures; assist plumbers as appropriate; clean obstructed waste lines, install water and wastewater lines, and/or performing non-technical modifications to plumbing and water supply systems.
- Perform carpentry maintenance tasks including routine sheetrock/drywall installation and/or repair, window replacement, cabinet and counter top replacement, texturing and painting; door and hardware installation; and paints interior and exterior finishes, as appropriate.
- Operate light industrial outdoor equipment such as mowers, power equipment, and small tractors.
