Patient Care Tech

Location: Temple, TX - Baylor Scott and White Health

Schedule: Full-time Days

Opportunities available in: Med/Surg, Ortho, Neuro, Telemetry, Progressive Care, Observation, and Oncology.

The Patient Care Technician handles various duties under a licensed nurse's supervision. Helps deliver patient care and meet family needs. Follows the care plan, considering the patient's age and development stage.

• Collects and records patient data, including vital signs.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring.
• Responds to call lights and conducts regular patient rounds.
• Provides personal hygiene care and assists with patient clean‑up.
• Adheres to Baylor Scott & White policies and procedures.
• Performs glucose monitoring and collects specimens as requested.
• Will be required to directly support multiple patients during each shift.

• EDUCATION – H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
• EXPERIENCE – Less than 1 Year of Experience

• Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
