Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist PRN plans, organizes, and provides professional services in restorative, functional and preventative therapeutic programs to patients. Clinical practice includes evaluation and occupational therapy treatment planning to facilitate rehabilitation of the mentally, physically or emotionally handicapped. Works closely with patients and family to establish and meet treatment goals.
Essential Functions of the Role- Patient care: evaluate, treat and monitor patients; modify therapy program and goals.
- Administrative duties: perform thorough clinical documentation in a timely manner; enter charges accurately.
- Communication: communicate effectively with patients and families, departmental coworkers, and members of the medical care team; provide education to patients, family and staff.
- Clinical supervision: supervise support staff, students and volunteers.
- Professional development: advance clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence based practice; share knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues; adhere to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
- Organizational focus: maintain awareness of system goals; align individual goals and work activities to support or impact the system goals.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal relation skills including oral and written communication.
- Must demonstrate competency in assigned areas as specified for each clinician.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal, teamwork and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team and assures delivery of excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, physicians and coworkers.
- Possesses proficient computer knowledge; operates multiple computer systems and standard rehabilitation equipment.
- High attention to detail in fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity.

- Education:
master’s or bachelor’s degree with additional two years of work experience above the minimum qualification. - Experience:
less than one year of experience. - Certification/License/Registration:
Occupational Therapist (OT);
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
