Canyon Creek Behavioral Health (a UHS facility) is a 102‑bed acute care psychiatric hospital located in Temple, Texas. The hospital offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and provides a compassionate, patient‑first environment with robust continuing education and career advancement opportunities through UHS.

The Yoga Therapist (Instructor) will work with patients who have a range of physical abilities, mental illness diagnoses, and substance‑abuse issues. The role involves combining yoga postures, mindfulness lessons, meditation, and mental training techniques such as breath work and somatic awareness to support individual recovery. Each session requires immediate documentation. Weekly required hours: 3–4 yoga groups plus documentation per day. This is a PRN position and does not provide benefits.

• Provide yoga instruction to patients with diverse needs and abilities.
• Integrate mindfulness, meditation, and breath‑work techniques into patient care.
• Document each 1‑hour session promptly and accurately.
• Meet weekly requirements of 3–4 groups plus documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and support patient care goals.

• Education/Licensure: Current Yoga Therapist or Yoga Instructor credential with 200 hours of training.
• Experience: One (1) year of related experience with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and an understanding of mental illness.
