QualificationsPOSITION SUMMARY
The Licensed Therapist conducts individual and family assessments, develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans as part of an inter-disciplinary team, consults with psychiatrists, medical doctors, or other specialists concerning the treatment plan, and amends plans as necessary. The therapist develops and facilitates prescribed clinical services, documents interventions and patient progress, and provides referrals to outside resources. Maintains service delivery to meet state licensing and JCAHO accreditation standards, and supports the clinical department’s ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of direct mental health service provision in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting preferred. Experience with case management, family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; strong clinical assessment skills. A combination of education, licensure, experience, and/or student internship hours may be considered.
Preferred: Current and active state licensure as a LPC-A, LPC, LMFT, LMSW or LCSW.
Additional Requirements: Timely renewal of cardiopulmonary resuscitation for healthcare professionals, annual professional skills verification, and HWC (Handle with Care) certification.
