PRN NIGHT Shift 7p-7a ICU FLOAT POOL

Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. We are seeking highly skilled ICU Nurses to join our amazing Level One Professional Team in our PRN ICU Float Pool. You will float between Medical ICU, Surgical Trauma ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU and Neuro ICU departments. Great opportunity to work with amazing professionals at a high level of care.

Job Summary

As an RN Float, you are vital in healthcare, coordinating patient care based on our nursing model. You assess patients, plan personalized care, and evaluate responses to health issues. You keep patients safe by understanding their needs and the healthcare setting for smoother transitions. You delegate interventions to team members based on guidelines, patient condition, and team abilities. Your professionalism and experience help you make important recommendations that impact patient outcomes.

  • Develop and adjust nursing care plans for desired outcomes.
  • Create a safe place for patients, families, and staff, helping with emotional and physical pain to aid healing.

  • Thorough knowledge of nursing and patient care standards and procedures.

  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Good grasp of general computer skills.

Qualifications
  • Graduated from an accredited program in nursing or have two years of relevant work experience.
  • Main area of study in education should be nursing.
  • Two years of ICU RN experience in nursing is required.
  • Registered nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or obtain within 30 days of starting.
