Overview
PRN THERAPIST (LICENSED) role at Canyon Creek Behavioral Health.
Responsibilities- Conduct individual and family assessments and develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans as part of an inter-disciplinary team.
- Consult with psychiatrists, medical doctors, or other specialists concerning treatment plans and amend plans as necessary.
- Develop and facilitate prescribed clinical services and document interventions, patient responses, and progress.
- Provide referrals to outside resources and support the department’s ongoing initiatives, including monitoring, quality improvement projects, patient outcome processes, and onboarding of department personnel.
- Maintain service delivery to state licensing and JCAHO accreditation standards.

- Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of direct mental health service provision experience (acute inpatient psychiatric health care preferred), with experience in case management, family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; strong clinical assessment skills. Combination of education, licensure and experience or student internship hours may be considered.
- Licensure (preferred): Current and active state licensure as a LPC-A, LPC, LMFT, LMSW or LCSW.
- Additional Requirements: Timely renewal of CPR for healthcare professionals, annual professional skills verification, and HWC (Handle with Care) behavioral management certification.
