Software Developer – Android

We are seeking a highly skilled Android Developer (3–5 years) with deep expertise in modern Android development using Kotlin, Jetpack, and MVVM architecture. The ideal candidate will work on both client projects and internal product initiatives, ensuring scalability, performance, and exceptional user experiences.
Knowledge of Flutter is a strong added advantage.

3–5 years of proven experience in Android app development.

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, and modern Jetpack components (Live Data, View Model, Work Manager, Navigation, Room, etc.).
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted coding tools (ChatGPT, Git Hub Copilot, etc.) for faster development.
• Understanding of Jetpack Compose or willingness to adopt Compose in upcoming projects.
• Strong command of REST APIs, JSON parsing, third-party library integrations.
• Experience implementing Material Design and intuitive UI/UX patterns.
• Knowledge of architecture patterns like MVVM, Clean Architecture.
• Good understanding of mobile security best practices and secure coding guidelines.
• Experience with Git and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Knowledge of Firebase services (Crashlytics, Firestore, Push Notifications).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, Git Hub Actions, Bitrise).
• Experience with offline-first apps, modular apps, or scalable architectures.

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.

• Work on both service-based client projects and Space-O’s in-house products, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT, Git Hub Copilot, and Android Studio AI features to improve productivity and code quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UI/UX, Backend, QA, Product) to define and implement new features.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, Firebase, and cloud-based services.
• Apply modern architecture patterns (MVVM/Clean Architecture) and modular coding principles.
• Ensure app performance, stability, and responsiveness across diverse devices.
• Manage app releases, Play Store deployments, and versioning.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Stay updated with the latest Android technologies, Jetpack libraries, Compose, and AI development trends.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for better performance.
