We are seeking an Electrical Superintendent to join our team. The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for leading and managing large-scale electrical projects, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project schedules. This role serves as the primary on-site authority, coordinating with project teams, general contractors, and stakeholders to drive project excellence and deliver high-quality electrical installations.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeads and manages overall operations of large electrical projects, acting as the primary on-site point of contact.
Collaborates with General Foremen, field teams, general contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Oversees and enforces safety standards, promoting a strong safety culture and adherence to all protocols.
Develops and executes project schedules, adjusting as necessary to meet deadlines and project milestones.
Reviews project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements.
Allocates resources, manpower, and equipment efficiently to optimize productivity.
Provides mentorship, training, and guidance to General Foremen and field employees to foster skill development.
Implements quality control processes, conducts inspections, and ensures work meets industry and customer standards.
Manages project budgets, monitors costs, and takes proactive measures to control expenses.
Communicates regularly with Project Managers, upper management, and stakeholders to report on progress and resolve project challenges.
Minimum:
High school diploma or GED.
Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
Twelve (12) years of experience in the electrical construction industry, including field team leadership.
Proven track record of managing large-scale electrical projects.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred:
Experience with commercial and industrial electrical installations.
Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling tools.
OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
OR an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience that results in the successful performance of the job. Additional education may substitute for required experience on a one-for-one year basis or vice versa.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, NEC regulations, and industry best practices.
Knowledge of project scheduling, budget management, and resource allocation.
Skill in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
Skill in managing multiple projects, optimizing workflows, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Ability to lead, mentor, and develop field teams to enhance project efficiency and team performance.
Ability to enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company policies.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and upper management.
Ability to analyze and solve complex construction challenges while maintaining project timelines.
Heavy work environment. Continuous indoor and outdoor work with heavy exposure to extreme physical, ergonomic, and/or emotional hazardous environment. Work requires lifting 50 pounds or more and wearing protective equipment; exposure to extreme weather, noise, hazard; requiring climbing, crawling, lying, and working under pressure.
