Cable Technician – TEKsystems

Location: Tempe, AZ (Contract position)

• Perform in‑shop and field service work, including installation and maintenance of telecommunication equipment
• Investigate and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment
• Use testing equipment, read schematics, and perform troubleshooting to eliminate operational or service difficulties
• Maintain and document service calls, write reports, and communicate with customers

• High‑school diploma or equivalent, or industry‑related experience and/or training
• Basic mechanical aptitude and proficiency with Microsoft Office and the internet
• Previous customer service experience in‑field support
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Basic math skills and ability to solve simple equations

• Certificate, diploma, or degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical or related field
• Experience in electrical or low‑voltage telecommunications
• Knowledge of test equipment and schematic reading
• Hands‑on experience with cable installation and punchdown techniques

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and to do overnight travel
• Willingness to operate a forklift (if required)

• Entry Level

Pay range: $20.00 – $23.00/hr
