Field/Service Technician, Installation Technician

Assignments range from one week to a maximum of two months, requiring flexibility, adaptability, and strong troubleshooting skills.
Technicians in this role may support local service work using a company vehicle and, when needed, travel with the service team to projects across AZ, CA, and NM. The focus is on delivering high-quality access control service while maintaining the companys commitment to exceeding client expectations nationwide.
Key Responsibilities- Service, troubleshoot, and repair access control systems in active commercial environments
- Diagnose and resolve issues with access control relays, switches, and door hardware
- Perform hands-on service work including device replacement, wiring verification, and hardware adjustments
- Support short-term service projects with varying scopes and timelines
- Work independently in the field while coordinating closely with the traveling service team
- Provide reliable technical support during service calls and time-sensitive assignments
- Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate job status clearly with internal teams
- Follow safety standards, best practices, and company procedures at all job sites
- Proven experience as a Security Technician with a strong focus on access control systems
- High confidence troubleshooting relays, switches, and electronic door hardware
- Service-based background preferred
- Ability to adapt quickly to new sites, system configurations, and project conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach
- Reliable, professional, and client-facing communication skills
- Local role: service-based with a company-provided service truck
- Traveling role: must be available and flexible to travel with the service team
- Projects last no longer than two months, with many assignments one week or less
- Travel expenses fully covered, including hotel accommodations and per diem
- $35–$37 per hour, based on experience
- Per diem and hotel provided for traveling technician
